Step1. Before reading& Revision

1. Miss Li’s students will graduate from school soon. She wants to see their dreams come true. Children, do you know what do they want to be?

2. You’ll graduate from Xiaxi Primary School soon, I wish you “Grow up happily. To be a useful person in the future.”

3. Here’s a song for you. After enjoying it, please tell me “What jobs are mentioned in the song?”

4. What other jobs do you know? The words have different forms.

5. There are many jobs in the world. Can we say which is good or which is bad? No job is noble or humble.(对学生进行情感教育,工作没有高低贵贱之分)

6. Speaking of this, what do you want to be? Why? What will you do for it? (让学生使用want to be/do will的句型来描述自己的梦想,为后面撰写“I have a dream”的演讲稿做铺垫。)

7. Where there is a will, there is a way.(告诉学生有志者事竟成)

Step2. While reading 

1. Do you know him? (Michael Jordan)

   To know him better, I’ll send you some reading materials about Jordan.(在ipad中下发关于乔丹的相关资料,让学生进一步了解这位曾经的篮球巨星,酝酿学生对乔丹成功之路的好奇心和兴趣,为后面的语篇介入打下伏笔。)

2. Look at the word and phrase, can you introduce Jordan? (学生用fly, is good at, great组成短语或句子来简单描述对乔丹的印象)

3. I have a story about Jordan, do you want to read it? When you meet some new words,what can you do?(给予学生阅读技巧的指导)

4. Task1: Underline your favourite sentence and share with others.(让学生带着简单的任务初读语篇)

5. Task2: Read the story again and finish “T or F”.

(在对乔丹有了一定的了解后,再读语篇,通过在ipad上完成的相关题目,学生从中体会到成功背后的付出是艰辛的,对于梦想有了更多层面的理解。)

6. Jordan is not a basketball now, he is a boss who cares about charities. From his success, what can we learn from him?(学生各抒己见,通过乔丹的故事,学生对于梦想、对于成功有了自己的理解和诠释)

7. To make dreams come true, we should work hard, never give up and believe in yourselves. Let’s read some proverbs about dreams.(学生齐读梦想格言,升华本环节)

Step3. After reading

1.Children, you will graduate from our school soon, and I think all of you have a dream in your heart. Let’s make a speech about your dreams, OK? But how to make a good speech?

2.write the speech well: What? Why? How? ...引导学生从这些方面撰写“I have a dream”的演讲稿。

 know the speaking skills

Look at the man, he’s Martin Luther King. He’s a great leader. He made a speech“I have a dream”. Let’s watch a video about his famous speech. T:How do you think of his speech? S: Loud, fluent, emotional, expressive...(通过播放马丁路德金的演讲视频,学生自己体会到演讲需要具备的技巧)

3.Now let’s make our speech.(Write& revise→ take a photo→ prepare in groups→ give a speech)

Step4. Homework

1. Give the speech to your family or your friends.Ask them to give you some advice (建议)。

2. Revise (修改) your speech.

3.Prepare (准备) for the PK in our class.

本单元的话题是“我的梦想”,旨在通过此话题的讨论,引导学生树立正确的价值观,心怀梦想并为实现自己的梦想而努力奋斗。本课是基于本单元“我的梦想”设计的一节“I have a dream”的复习拓展课。本节课我复习了学生在以前的学习中,掌握的部分常见的职业名称,例如teacher, doctor, nurse, policeman, policewoman, cook, farmer, worker, waiter, waitress等,并进行构成归纳。学生对课文的理解难度不大,但是要用英语阐述自己的梦想还有有点难度的。尤其是要用英语谈谈为什么要有这个梦想,以及如何去实现自己的梦想。我拓展了语篇阅读《Air Jordan》,通过乔丹的追梦励志故事的学习,不仅提升了学生的阅读技巧,还激发了学生树立自己的理想从而为之付诸努力接着通过马丁·路德·金著名的“I have a dream”的演讲,让学生掌握一定的演讲技巧,最后撰写出自己的“I have a dream”的演讲稿,学生在班级里进行演讲PK,通过进行大幅语篇的输出,提升学生综合语用的能力,升华本课主题。

我认为复习拓展教学不能只停留在课堂表面的“活”,“乐”中。我们更要注重学科本身,从学得后产生的成功体验来不断滋长兴趣,挖掘学生学习的内驱力。在教学中我们应该做到面向全体,分层教学。在教学过程中,不可回避的如何对待优中差生。我所设计的活动注重了面向全体学生,难度适中,让大家都参与。可以根据学生的个人素质,性格特点,记忆力反应速度等,因材施教,分层要求,以求最有效的激励机制促学生不断上进。 上完课后,我看看每个环节,好像都是环环相扣,但是对于文本再构这块显得有些力不从心。再者,就是对于篇章的定位处理稍欠全面,至于写作指导是比较到位的。
