本单元主要是围绕周末活动展开教学，教学的是第三课时sound time ，culture time和cartoon time中的内容，所以一开始就由赵老师上周末有趣的活动来进行导入，吸引学生眼球，激发学生表现欲，也想来说一说自己和朋友的周末活动。以此复习What do you do at the weekends? I always/ usually/ often/ sometimes或What does he/ she do at the weekends? He/She always/ usually/ often/ sometimes这些句型。

接下来在和学生的对话中赵老师提取了频率副词，正巧发现处于末尾字母的S发音相同，让学生在对比中感受到S的发音，以此引出sound time 的教学。在这一环节中老师还指出这个chant有点难度，但是同学们不要放弃，我们在努力后会越读越好，正好和后面cartoon time 中的情感教育起到相互呼应的效果。而且赵老师还设计了一个PK环节，激发学生的学习热情，不让学生产生疲倦感。

随后以chant 中的玫瑰花为引线，拓展了英国人的生活方式和他们的周末活动，让学生感受到中西方文化的差异。在提到流行的球类运动时引入到culture time ，先让学生听一听，连一连，再让学生用_______ is very popular in ________ 这一句型练一练，最后再来说一说。在校对答案时在相应的球类中我有相应的拓展。随后以一首轻快活泼的球类歌曲缓解学生的疲劳，让学生能以更好的状态投入到后半堂课的学习中去。

在提问学生喜欢的球类运动时，Sam和Bobby 也喜欢篮球，以图片引出了cartoon time的学习。在这个部分中，赵老师先让孩子们带着Does Billy like playing basketball?这个问题欣赏动画，紧跟着又问Does Billy like sports ?让学生通过自读课文来了解Billy。然后追问 Billy 喜欢干什么，来解决更深层次的对课文内容的理解，然后通过跟读来加强孩子们对语音语调的模仿。随后对课文的朗读和表演，老师也给了孩子们选择的余地，他们可以根据自身情况来决定小组如何读。最后让学生对Sam,Bobby 和Billy 的生活方式进行对比，总结出Billy 是非常不健康的。让学生尝试提出建议来帮助Billy，随后看到瘦下来的Billy，再让学生来想象Billy 的减肥之路，在这一环节中将学生的说提升到写，让学生对本课的重点知识再一次得到巩固。

当然这一课中的情感教育是必不可少的，这并不需要刻意地去寻找或生拉硬拽，只要围绕着本单元的重点，就能自然而然地找到与之相契合的情感教育，最后只需点明从Billy 的故事中应该学会养成好的生活方式还有不轻言放弃的精神。
