教 学 过 程 | Step 1. Warm up 1. Ask S about the pictures on the cover. 2. Watch a clip video about Hope Tree. Ask S “What can you learn from the video?” and “What can you do for them?”
Step 2. Presentation 1. Review the story time. 2. Set the scene: Su Hai and Su Yang got 28 yuan from the charity. They were No.1. School awards them 200 yuan. Therefore, they got 228 yuan. They were going to the supermarket to buy sth for the children in poor. 3. First, Su Hai and Su Yang walk into the clothes shop. Listen to the dialogue and finish task 1. T helps S calculate the money left. 4. Then, they come into Food and Drink area. Su Hai wants to buy some food. T: What can you see in the picture? S: Milk, juice, sandwich... T: How much is it/ are they? S: ... yuan. T: Do you want to know how much is the egg? S: Yes. T: Read task 2. Figure out the price of the egg, and fill in the blank. Su Yang wants to buy some fruit. T: There are 6 kinds of fruit in the picture. Do you know them? S: Yes. They are ... The ... is ...yuan. T: Well done! But the salesman forgets to stick the price tag of apple and pineapple. Can you help her? S: Yes, we can. T: Please read task 3 and tell me how much are they. T helps S calculate the money left. 5. Finally, they need to buy some stationery. T: If you were the salesman, what would you say? How about Su Hai and Su Yang? Please read task 4 and choose the answer. T helps S check the answer. T: Can you help them? If you have 50 yuan. What stationery would you buy? Four of you as a group to act it out.
Step 3. Consolidation 1. T: I know all of you have bought sth for the poor children. According to task 5, please write a letter and send it to the poor children. T asks S to read the letter and helps them send the letter with the goods. 2. After shopping, Su Hai and Su Yang have to check. T: Why do they buy so many things? S: They want to donate the things to the poor children. T: Yes. How about the money left? S: Donate the money. T: Good job! 3. Watch a clip video about Hope Tree. T: There is a sentence for you: love can't be bought by money, and it can't be asked by “how much”. Love is our hope.
Step 4. Homework 1. Practise buying and selling with your friends; 2. Finish the letter and send it to the poor with your gifts; 3. Do more charity and help people in need. | ||||
