教 学 过 程 | Step 1. Warm up 1. Before class, play music about auspicious day. 2. Show 2 games: ①Look and match: T invite S to match the months on Seewo. After matching, T ask S to add the rest. ②Forest Sports Meeting: T invite 2 S to act Sam and Bobby to make judgments. After the game, correct 3 wrong sentences. At the same time, T show the months of 4 seasons.
Step 2. Presentation 1. T: In this class, I will help you find out your favourite festival. Let’s begin with Chinese festivals. Please take out your exercise paper to fill in the blanks. 2. T remind S to open English books to check the answer on P76. 3. T ask S to chat with each other based on the dialogue below. 4. T: Our country has a long history with many festivals. Let’s watch a video to learn more Chinese festivals. 5. T show the pictures of 3 Chinese festivals (Lantern Festival, Qingming Festival and Double Seventh Festival) and ask S to talk from “when”, “food” and “activity”. 6. T show the form of conclusion and encourage S to choose one favourite festival to write down on the exercise paper.
Step 3. Consolidation 1. T: Now, we know there are many Chinese festivals in our country, but there are also many western festivals in the world. For example, we have learned New Year’s Day in Grade 3, Christmas in the last term and Halloween and Mother’s Day in this unit. 2. T: I prepared 3 western festivals for you. The first is Easter. Listen to the tape first and answer a question. T: Can you tell me more about Easter? 3. T: You have to read by yourselves to find out the second festival. T: Who can help me read and match? 4. T: The third is Thanksgiving Day. Let’s read together. T: What do people eat? 5. T show the form of conclusion and encourage S to choose one favourite festival to write down on the exercise paper. 6. Give advice to S.
Step 4. Homework 1. Tell your parents the festivals you have learned in this class. 2. Complete the writing after class and share your favourite festival with your friends. | ||||
